Railways opened up Australia and allowed people to travel across the nation, and Quorn was established at the railway crossroads in those early days.
On display are images, memorabilia, pictures, posters, a model of the working T class train, the old telephone system, and the history of the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society. Travel on the Pichi Richi Railway in heritage carriages and locomotives. Relive the glorious days of steam power.
The theme is STEAM POWER: The Great Changer.
The Pichi Richi Railway Museum is located inside the old tea rooms of the Quorn Railway Station, in the same building as the Flinders Ranges Visitor Information Centre.
Entry is free and the museum is suitable for all ages.
