The Flinders Ranges and Outback is a paradise for off-road enthusiasts and keen mountain bikers, offering some of the country’s most famous long- distance adventures.
Iconic tracks including Birdsville, Strzelecki and Oodnadatta are well worn and lead to many famous outback towns and watering holes.
Many stations have opened up their properties for four-wheel drivers and campers. This is where you can test your skills on a range of tracks suited for all abilities.
If you’re not confident driving off-road or don’t have a 4WD, there are plenty of tour options available that will take the hassle out of driving but still allow you to see the best of a 4WD adventure in the Flinders Ranges and Outback.
