Umeewarra Downtown is a free community cultural event led by Umeewarra Media, held in the heart of Port Augusta and welcoming families and visitors from right across the region. It is a celebration of Aboriginal culture, identity and connection, bringing people together to share stories, music, art, language and local talent in a safe, inclusive and family-friendly space.

The event creates a strong sense of pride and belonging by putting culture at the centre. Community members can come to yarn, learn, listen and enjoy a full program of performances, creative activities, local stalls and interactive experiences for all ages. Umeewarra Downtown also provides a platform for emerging and established regional artists, performers and community leaders to be seen and heard, while strengthening relationships between generations.
