About Elizabeth House Backpackers and Hostel

Elizabeth House Backpackers and Hostel is proud to announce its doors will be opening in January to accommodate the more budget conscious travellers.

Originally known as Hartley Lodge, our building was the first hospital in Quorn. For more history on their old home, you will have to come for a visit and see how it progressed to be accommodation for travellers.

They are a family owned business located in the small picturesque town of Quorn, just 35 kilometres from Port Augusta.

They have a range of affordable rooms, two queens, one King and a variety of bunk bed formations.

Their shared common areas have all the comforts of home in a friendly laid back environment and if you don’t feel like cooking, it’s only a short walk to the numerous pubs and cafes.

For those looking for a little bit of adventure in their trip shouldn’t pass up the chance to climb to the summit of Devils Peak, a 2.4 kilometre return bushwalk. Not to mention all the other walking/ heritage trails available in the gateway to the Flinders Ranges.
