A rare opportunity to visit a world class Aboriginal Art Gallery with the added bonus of meeting orphaned kangaroo’s and other wildlife.
The kangaroo Orphanage was established in 2008 to take in orphaned kangaroo’s from the far north of South Australia covering about the area of Germany.
Since opening in 2008 the Orphanage now takes in all Australian wildlife including Wombats,Birds and Lizards. Visitors are welcome to attend our wildlife talk but only by appointment. Call 0428356669.
The Gallery also offers an Aboriginal Cultural and Heritage talk which explains the history of Aboriginal Art, Weaponry , The fabled Kaiditchi man shoes and Bush medicine. These talks are also by appointment only.
The Gallery holds an extensive range of Aboriginal Artefacts as well as significant works by many of Australia’s best known Aboriginal Artists .
Proprietors Josephine and Terry Brennan-Kuss who are dedicated wildlife carers also mine the elusive Opals and have on display in the Gallery “The Centenary Plate” which is an Opalized collection of over 200 sea shells that they mined in 2014.
