About Tallaringa Conservation Park

Tallaringa Conservation Park is located on the fringe of the Great Victoria Desert and is a vast wilderness of vegetated dunes and gibber rises. The park supports a variety of important wildlife species that have adapted to live in this dry arid environment.

For a four-wheel driving adventure, travel along the Anne Beadell Highway, a rough bush track, which commences on the eastern edge of the park and ends at Laverton in Western Australia over 1,300 kilometres away.

Please note a per vehicle entry fee applies as does a per vehicle per night camping fee. This is a pay as you go using self registration stations. Desert Park passes are accepted and can be purchased online.

A tourist access per­mit is required to access this area from the Depart­ment of Defence. Pleas note that access to the park may be restrict­ed due to local road con­di­tions, the Desert Parks Bul­letin pro­vides impor­tant and cur­rent infor­ma­tion on access and road conditions.
