About Southern Flinders Discovery Centre
The Southern Flinders Discovery Centre offers free tourist information for local and South Australia regions, free computer access, and free access to Gladstone’s history records.
Visitors will also find souvenirs, home-baked biscuits, produce and crafts for sale.
The Discovery Centre is also bus friendly with a step-on guide town tour and soft drink tastings. They welcome groups (not only on a bus) – all run by friendly volunteers…ready for a chat!
Guided walking tours can also be arranged to hear the stories behind the many sand stone buildings & other points of interest, including a water fountain in the main street.

Underground railways subway equipped with mural art for visitors to enjoy
The RSL Memorial water fountain on Main Street
A restored canon from WWI, plus other WWI memorabilia
The children’s playground on Main Street
The Tressylva Park walking trail to birdwatch or enjoy a family BBQ
