Yabbie Farm Bush Camp
About Yabbie Farm Bush Camp
Come and camp on this sustainable yabbie farm. A 500-acre property that sits on an aquifer with unlimited fresh water. They have five sites available for self-contained campers. You will need to be self-sufficient and leave no trace. You can pick your own spot and there is plenty of space – so you can be as secluded as you wish.
Book a yabbie-catching experience as an extra at checkout. There are lots of bird species and wildlife here, as well as sheep roaming around. You are welcome to enjoy a controlled campfire, and there is firewood available. Water available.
The property is located 12 kilometres from the township of Wilmington, a sleepy country town boasting panoramic views (both Hancock’s Lookout and Horrocks Pass) and some impressive walking trails through the lower Flinders Ranges in the area.
In Wilmington, you will find a pub, a general store and a variety of museums. Your hosts, Anjo and Rob, live pretty much self-sufficient here – with solar power, water, vegetables, fruit, eggs, chicken meat, sheep meat, yabbies and marron.
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, above is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
