Booleroo Centre
Just off the road from Wirrabara to Melrose, Mount Remarkable serves as a spectacular backdrop to Booleroo Centre, a picturesque town deriving its name from an Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of mud’. This agricultural centre was surveyed in 1855.
The Booleroo Steam and Traction Preservation Society Museum is home to South Australia’s largest collection of steam and traction engines, with more than 150 machines on permanent display.
