Crystal Brook

The thriving agricultural hub of Crystal Brook is the southern gateway to the Flinders Ranges. The Big Goanna monument stands at the entry of the town and is a great photo opportunity.

Housed in an underground bakery, the Heritage Centre Museum features historic exhibits on shopping and domestic living. Open Sunday and public holidays 2-4pm.

Kupsch Bakery, established in 1963, is the home of the famous Crystal Brook Pasty, while Vault 35 Café offers great collectables, coffee and cake.

Five kilometres north-east of Crystal Brook, Bowman Recreational Park offers walking trails, historic buildings, an oval, toilets and gas barbecues.

The 1200-kilometre Heysen Trail, which runs from South Australia’s southern coast to the Flinders Ranges, passes through the town.
