About Port Pirie City Park Projection Light Show

Port Pirie City Park Projection transforms the city centre into an outdoor gallery after sunset, showcasing a rotating program of locally produced films, animations and digital artworks. Featuring commissioned works by regional artists and filmmakers alongside community-created content, the projection celebrates the stories, creativity and unique identity of Port Pirie and the surrounding region.

Projected nightly onto the heritage-listed Barrier Chambers building, dating back to the 1880s, the display changes regularly with new works featured each month. Special themed showcases are presented throughout the year for SALA Festival, Adelaide Fringe, South Australia’s History Festival, ANZAC commemorations and selected health awareness campaigns.

Whether you’re enjoying an evening stroll, relaxing in City Park or exploring Port Pirie after dark, the projection offers a memorable and ever-changing cultural experience. Free to enjoy and accessible to all, it is a must-see attraction that invites visitors and locals alike to pause, reflect and connect with the stories of the region.
