About Ferguson Gorge Scenic Drive and Bush Walk

Ferguson Gorge is a stunning private gorge on Moolooloo Station that has recently been opened to the public. Moolooloo Station is a working sheep station in the central Flinders Ranges (19 kms from Blinman on the Glass Gorge Road). The station also offers a range of accommodation options including camping and Shearer’s Quarters accommodation.

The scenic drive to the gorge takes visitors through the most stunning parts of Moolooloo Station. The track goes through Hannigans Gap where visitors can admire the impressive rock formations and changing landscapes and ends at a parking area that is approximately 1.6 km walk to the gorge. Moderate fitness is required. In total it is recommended to allow 4 to 5 hours for this activity. Please check in and pay at the homestead.

The gorge offers stunning views and photo opportunities and the rock pools are often full of water. This is also home to some endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies as well as a large number of other wildlife species.

High clearance 4WD vehicle required. Cost AUD40 per vehicle.

This activity can also be done on mountain bikes. Motorbikes not permitted off of public access roads anywhere on the station.
