Quorn Native Flora Reserve
About Quorn Native Flora Reserve
The Quorn Native Flora Reserve provides a relatively natural setting, offering a pleasant and easy short walk within minutes of the town centre of Quorn.
There is an interesting mixture of plants which are familiar in the cooler climate of the Adelaide Hills and those which are more common in arid locations. Quorn lies in a transition area, as the surrounding hills promote a higher rainfall in a place which otherwise would be quiet arid. Seasonal variations from the hot and dry to the cool and moist have sorted out the plants which are able to survive here. Birds are dependent on this vegetation and in some season you should see a wide variety.
