Angorichina Village
Nestled in rugged Parachilna Gorge between Parachilna and Blinman is Angorichina Village, where visitors can explore some of the best day walks and scenic wonders in the region. Angorichina Village offer a few different accommodation options, from campsite to chalets, and their store provides takeaway, alcohol, groceries, fuel and regional information.
Using Angorichina Village as your base, you can spend your days discovering the gorges, viewing the in-season wild flowers and spotting the many types of native fauna. Your lovely hosts David and Caroline Scicluna also offer the opportunity to go on a day tour, so that you can really get to know the area. If you're more of a DIY person, David and Caroline will be happy to point you in the right direction for 4WD Tracks!
Attractions include the spring-fed Blinman Pools, which are a popular spot. Take the 12km return walk from the Angorichina Tourist Village’s general store or try hiking to Wild Dog Gap or Mount Falkland. Hop on a camel for a ride, overnight trek and camel safari throughout the Northern Flinders Ranges with Flinders and Beyond Camel Treks, based in Blinman.
Wakarla Glass Gorge Tours are an Aboriginal-owned-and-operated tour company that will take you on a guided walk into the magnificent Glass Gorge, where you’ll hear many Dreaming stories connected to this land. The road to Glass Gorge is a tricky but picturesque 4WD track and was the original route for dray carts delivering copper to Parachilna. A ‘must-do’ for all 4WD enthusiasts.
