Day 1-2: Adelaide to Quorn
Take in Quorn's gardens, museums and rich heritage. Travel The Ghan's original route on a full- or half-day trip aboard the historic Pichi Richi Railway.

Day 2-4: Quorn to Ikara Wilpena Pound
Head to the Ikara Flinders Ranges for lunch in Hawker, and arrive at Wilpena Pound Resort by mid-afternoon. Spend 2-3 days absorbing the scenic beauty, adventure trails, and stories of the Adnyamathanha culture, set amongst the stunning 60-million-year-old landscape.

Day 4: Wilpena Pound to Angorichina
Just an hour’s drive from Wilpena Pound Resort, Angorichina Tourist Village offers camel safaris, a tour of the magnificent Glass Gorge, terrific 4WD tracks and natural springs.

Day 5-6: Angorichina to Arkaroola
Departing Angorichina, head towards Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, described by Sir Douglas Mawson as 'one great outdoor museum'. Explore adventurous outdoor trails and learn about Aboriginal culture, astronomy, ecology, geology and history.

Day 6: Arkaroola to Parachilna
Finish with a night of luxury at the newly renovated Prairie Outback Lodge (bookings essential) before the drive home.
